Electric Chair Electric Chair Everyone holds hands in a circle around a chair. When the Leader says go, everyone tries to pull the other onto the "electric chair". If anyone drops hands during the game then both of the two people who disconnected the current are out. Of course, if you touch the chair you are also out! top

This is a Cat Everyone sits in a circle. The Leader hands an item to Scout #1 on their left and says "this is a cat". The response from Scout #1 is "a what?". TheLeader says "a cat". The response from Scout #1 is "OH!" Then the item is passed on to the next with the same message..."this is a cat". The recipient Scout #2 answers "a what?", Scout #1 turns to the Leader and says "a what?". The Leader says "a cat". Scout #1 says to Scout #2 "a cat". Scout #2 says "OH!"
Now this all seems straight forward....but once the game has been going for a few turns...then Leader the hands another item to the person on their right and says "this is a dog". The response from this person is "a what?". The Leader says "a dog". The response from the recipient is "OH!" Of course then you have the cat and the dog both heading around the circle towards each other on the other side. You need to have a switched on Leader for this game... because invariably the "cat" and the "dog" arrive back to the Leader at the same time and the Leader needs to be able to respond quickly what it is to the Scouts so that it doesn't hold the game up. (It helps to turn your head to the person you are speaking to). The game usually gets sooooo confused once you cross over the cat and the dog on the other side of the circle! Then sit back and laugh! In all the years we have played this game the Scouts have only once managed to get the cat and the dog back to the Leader!!! The Chocolate Game Split into teams. Each Scout has a go at throwing the dice three times and tries to get a '6'. If no '6' then go to the back of the line. If a '6' then run up to the plate, cut a piece of chocolate with a knife and fork and eat it from the fork. Only one piece of chocolate per time. If someone else comes up behind you to get chocolate from your team... you must leave the plate and go back to the back of the line. Keep going until your plate of chocolate has finished. For Variety: have to put on various items of clothing before the chocolate. Note for Leaders: put chocolate in the freezer if the weather is warm - more challenging!!! top

The Candle Game Split into teams. Each Scout has a small cone made from tinfoil suspended on a string and pinned with a safety pin to the front of their shorts (in the middle). As a relay they run up to a plate which has a candle stuck to it. They light the candle and then by trying to position the cone over the candle they extinguish the flame. First team to finish wins! top
