ABOUT THE WEB RING:

The Gang Show Webring is a web ring hosted by webring.yahoo.com . A web ring is a unique internet tool that allows web sites with similar interests to link together through a common navigational system. This system requires that to your home page you add a small java script hyperlink (a Server Side Navigation Bar), to create a never ending link from one site to the next. The end site on the ring connects to the first site creating a "Web Ring". The best part is, all of these sites are connected together to form a ring of all the Scout & Guide Shows from around the world, on the Internet ! All of the actual linking is done through something called a Server Side Script which is run by the main computer at webring.yahoo.com . Look below in the "How to Join" section, after you have glanced at the rules, to find out more.

RULES:

1- Your web site must contain information relating to a Scout and/or Guide theatrical Show. It is not relevant what nation the Show is from or if the Show is a Gang Show, Revue, etc. The whole theme of this web ring is "Scout & Guide Shows". It would make no sense to apply for a page that does not relate to this theme.

2 - The SSNB (Server Side Navigation Bar) code (Its supplied to you by Yahoo!webring when you register) must be on the entry to your site or the entry to your Show portion of your site. This is the whole way the ring works. Without the code nobody can reach you or the next site after you on the ring.

3 - Your page must be kept in working order at all times. Remember traffic will increase to your site and it would develop a bad reputation for the ring if many sites were "under construction" or contained "bad" links/images.

HOW TO JOIN:

It is very easy to join the web ring. All you have to do is click on the image and away you go to the Yahoo login page and from there to this rings registration page. REMEMBER: In order for your application to be accepted your page must be related to Guide and/or Scout Shows.
The information that is required to join the web ring is: Your name, email address, web address and a brief description of your site.
After you have submitted your page it is necessary to add the web ring code-linking to your page. The code is supplied by Yahoo!Webring when you register to join this Ring.
When you have completed the registration form an email will come in the mail reminding you to add the code and giving you some useful web hyperlinks.
